Our hotel, which we would prefer to call “your home abroad” is a family hotel located in Thannenkirch, Alsace. Our building, dating from the 18th century has been transformed in a warm place to stay with its 25 very comfortable rooms, personalised with detail and love by owner Jean-Luc Dumoulin, whose passion is to work the local sandstone and the wood from the forest nearby.
Jean-Luc's wife Francesca, takes great delight in welcoming the guests in the most possible authentic atmosphere, making the place a sophisticated and personalized one which will make your stay unique.
Both are proud to have been able to transmit their passion to their son Thomas Dumoulin, their Chef, who came back home after 10 years in 3 star-michelin restaurants like the “Auberge de l’Ill” in Illhaeusern, or the “Suquet” in Laguiole where he learned from Michel et Sébastien Bras. Thomas expresses his creativity in his fine cuisine based on fresh local seasonal products.
